Lehigh Valley Chapter

Mission Statement:
SCIF Sables is an organization which raises funds to
further support wildlife education. We do this through
the American Wilderness Leadership School programs,
which is a conservation and wildlife management course
that not only encourages a lifelong learning track to
preserve our hunting heritage, but also instills in its
students a love of the outdoors and respect for nature.

Lehigh Valley Sables was founded in 1990. The current membership is 50
dedicated sportswomen and men.

Each year the LVSables grants International Sables
30% of their income for the American Wilderness
Leadership School (AWLS) and the International
Wildlife Museum.

Lehigh Valley Sables is part of the Educational Arm
of the Chapter. We support the Lehigh Valley Chapter
of SCI in all of its endeavors.

Lehigh Valley Sables has been involved in many
projects since its beginning:

Scholarships to the AWLS ranch
Teacher transportation to the AWLS ranch
Supporting Women In The Outdoors
Becoming An Outdoor Woman
Women On Target
Youth Hunter Education Challenge
Camp Compass
Pennsylvania Institute for Conservation and Education
Seminars at the Outdoor Heritage
Sponsors youth for the Trap Shoot from the
Governor's Sportsmen's Youth Advisory Council
Sponsors women's hunts
Sponsors competition youth shooters
Provides the opportunity for pistol & shotgun lessons
for its members
Sponsors Hunters Sharing The Harvest

In the Humanitarian Field:
Purchased wheelchairs for the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation Purchased custom made mountings for Steve Iannetta to hunt using his wheelchair Purchased and donated National Sables "First Aid" booklets to other organizations Gathered many pounds of meat for Soup Kitchens Sponsors educational workshops to the public and its membership, such as, "Refuse To Be A Victim"

LVSables raise money through several projects each year:

Selling raffle tickets at the annual Pig Roast
Hosting Trophy Room tours
Attaining donated items for the annual Fundraiser & Banquet
Selling items at the annual Lehigh Valley Sports Expo
